G'day all im hoping some of you more experienced hilux owners can help me here. I own a 1990 hilux SR5, 2.8 d duel cab ute. Currently it has a two inch spring lift shitty after market shocks, draw system, alloy steps and bull bar, rear step. I have just had an Air locker fitted to the rear and run 31" muddies. I belong to the TLCC but not many hilux owners in club. So who to ask for advice, well someone here. So im just asking what people think are the best mods for a hilux to make it into something that can be heaps of fun and capable but still a sensible daily driver...insurance and stuff. Im not much of a mud rat but love to play in the rocks. Thanks.

Thats an easy one
Fit another ARB
Then later upgrade to 33' tyres
and finally Longfields.
Then enjoy!
Toss the alloy steps now.

Add some lower gearing and a bash plate or two and you've got a strong and capable truck.

Longfields are high strength heat treated CV joints (birfield joints) for the front diff.
They replace what is generally acepted as the weakest point in a hilux drive line.
