hello, just picked up a set of 33x12.5 r15 mickey thompson baja radial claws for my mav. they came off a late 90's hilux. the stud pattern matches up fine bit the rims rubs on the brake pad surround on the front. is this because of different depth of the rim??.

It's called rim offset, and that is more than likely causing the scraping..........although would be good to know where abouts is the brake pad making contact to the rim?

thanks mate, took it down to a tyre place today and got it sorted, was the wrong offset. just took the rubber off the original rim and swapped for the claws.

How wide are the original rims? Unless they are at least 8" wide you will suffer some bad crowning running a 15" x 7" rim.

originals are a 15x8 rim
