castor correction plates on hilux

i was just wandering if i put a 3in lift into my ln107 duel cab
should i bet castor correction plates to line up the pinion gear?

Aren't they IFS.

If so, with 2" springs and extended shackles I had 5 degree wedges and it drove as good as a hilux can.
If you want them cheap I don't need them anymore

sorry, i always get confused with hilux's
a 93 diesel... always thought it was a 107...
so 5deg plates are the go??
is the whole idea of castor plates to re-align the pinion angles??

You normally adjust the castor on linkage axles (coils) because when you lift it too much the axle ends up pointing towards the ground. As a result the diff is trying to drive into the ground and it throws out all your camber and steering (swivel plane) because they tilt also.
I would have thought with leaf springs your castor doesn't change? The pinion angles certainly would.

Yeah, drive pretty good with them.
Keeps pinion angles good and corrects the castor as well

Of course it does.
With extended shackles it does anyway, as your moving the spring eye lower, it will change the angle of the "swivel plane"
