while ago i had a thread on here about noise coming from driveshaft,
i replaced my rear diff with some standard one sad to pull out the lsd

after doing this i still have the noise, could it be that the unis on the drive shaft are stuffed and dryed out????????????????

sounds like screw drivers hitting the drive shaft, while cruising along in gear or while doing down hill in gear

Did you pull the drive shaft and inspect the unis?

I think we're talking about a cruiser here(60 series?), no centre bearing.

Heh my bad, I must have mixed sclux's username and his post and read it as a Hilux, seeing as the thread doesn't say what vehicle.

Have you checked/greased the unis? Or are they sealed on the 60?

I was talking about Hilux's, for some reason I assumed that was the vehicle. It's a bearing joining 2 driveshafts (kinda) which you don't have.

Ty greasing the slip joint. When they are worn it can give you a pinging noide under loed ie changing down gears or taking off from stand still Hope this helps, Cheers Steve.
