Some guard chop (virtual lift) pics, tub only so far

For those who are interested, here's my attempt of a virtual lift on the tub so far. The aim of the build is to keep it low 30's, no body lift, minimal spring lift as well as to cut the rust out of the guard seems. All cuts were made using either the die grinder or oxy, with the clean up using tin snips. The guard was cut to just under the pressed arch. 0.6mm zinc coated steel was used to fill the gap. All welded via oxy and no double skins. Enjoy

looks good, did you get any panel warping from the heat of the oxy?

Yep no matter how careful we were we still got some heat distortion in the pannels. So the iron them out we did a few high heat metal shrinks with the oxy.

Reading the text and not just looking at the pictures will tell you he is aiming to run 30's.
