Just go gas fitted to the 93 80 Series and they can not tune it as the sensor has no reading to it and they say it is stuffed.

Ok fit new one found that the bolts that hold the sensor in are rounded.

Ok Get 1 from Repco ... differant right code wrong type as it is a screw in.

Can fit by drilling new hole opposite original and leave the old 1 in there and re do the plug seem simple enough.

NO the mechanic said as it is a 4 wire and you can not solder then together also if you get the wrong wire (Heater/Computer) could do damage.

Plan "B" get new sensor housing and fit a genuine one in on the opposite side.

Why do they put them in such a bad spot.

What do you reccommend Guys

Take it to a decent exhaust shop with a replacement sensor (correct 80 series direct replacement, genuine if need be) and get them to remove the old one and fit the new one. They deal with rounded or seized bolts all day long with rusty flange and manifold studs and will be able to get it off without too much trouble by using heat or welding a nut to the head of the bolt. This will be the easiest option for you.

The one I went to offered that to me but sait it would be cheaper for me to put in another mounting plate and fit the new on to it. seemed to be a honest answer.

I have looked at where it is and there si not much room to work up where it is and with the heat sheild as well you are flat out getting a socket on it
