Rear Hilux bearings are a PIA, they're usually fused onto the axles.
Not an easy job, some may know easy ways. I had to cut mine off last time. The bearings aren't dear, but it will normally cost a few hours labour for a shop to do them.
They're not like the fronts where they just fall out
Edit*

i took to mine with a cold chisel and belted the shit out of them on three sides, then used the backing plate as a handle and slammed the axle into a piece of sleeper to knock the bearing retainers off and the bearings out.

Yeah its nice when this works. Some are more stubborn and have to be pressed out very carefully without damaging the backing plate. Absolute PITA.

could just buy a whole new second hand axle and hub, might not be too spendy. ive got one you can have but a long way away. might be worth a call to a wreckers at least anyway.
that way its 4 bolts and a brake line only. worth a thought anyway.
the other thought is that the other side is most likely the same age and will go at some stage. if geting a place to do it, it will be a little cheaper per side to get both done at once.

There is a press tool out there for it available from ripco but it'd be cheaper to buy roctoys brackets and convert it to disc rear. Or if your handy make up your own tool to do it.
