Heaps of weight compared to 2l
Would need tranny tunnel and firewall beating/cutting
New suspension to cope with the extra weight.

I've thought about a 1hz but for those reasons i find it the wrong choice.

Thanks for the reply,

Getting custom suspension made up for it anyway, going to build new tunnel, and modify firewall to suit.

Was talking to a bloke who had one in his 1st gen single cab lux a few years ago at a downhill meet. Don't know much about how he went about the conversion sorry, but when we caught up with him on the freeway it pretty much kept up with my 3.8 lux from 80k's until about 140k's. It's accelleration for an old diesel was pretty impressive...

Yeah the old engines go pretty hard when built/tuned right!!

The only reason i am even thinking about doin the conversion is because i have an old hilux, and my brother has a SWB 75 with F & R airs, very tough engine, box etc.. the thing is.. haah the 75 got rolled and cab got bent really bad. so we thought we may join our to cars together to have a pretty custom capable riglet.

at this stage it will be:

A 84 single cab hilux, already has custom traty,

with all 75 Diffs (F&R airs), Gearbox + tranny, And turbo diesal engine..

Have to get custom drivelines and suspension made up. also a custom GB tunnel and maybe a bit of firewall bash!!

Any ideas or comments please do! good or bad
