Clutch throwout bearing.

Good day, all.
I have an MK diesel, 5 speed manual. When the vehicle is travelling on the road, in gear with the motor running and the clutch out, does the throwout bearing still rotate?
Thanks, Rocgpw.

No it doesn't. If there is a noise in the gearbox it is most likely the input shaft bearings. Does the noise go away when your foot is on the clutch?

Thanks for your reply, Hudson44.
I have found out that the clutch set-up is a so-called "pull clutch". There is no unusual noise when the vehicle is running but I am interested in trying to make the clutch adjustable, as now after 65000 km the clutch takes up after the pedal is a fair way off the floor and I prefer the clutch to take up when it is close to the floor, as it did when it was new. (It's easier to do smooth gear changes.) So, any ideas would be good.
Thanks,
Rocgpw.
