Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hello,

I have 33" Baja claws on my Mav and being new to these tyres I was just wondering what a good tyre pressure would be to run on road?
I checked them yesty, They ranged from 34-38. So I just put them all at 36.
Is that okay?

Second question is whats a good pressure to run off road? I don't want mud getting in the bead so I was thinking about 20psi? But I wasn't 100% sure.

Best way I found on road it take it for a drive with chalk marks on the outer of the tread you'll see in only a couple of k's where it wears. There's no set preassure as each car may be loaded different. I get mine to a preassure where the chalk lines are almost gone to the outer edges of the tread. You may have to try several times to check. My roadies (Maxxis Bravos 751) are set around 32psi (unloaded) if packing it up to go away around 36psi
As for off road I run Biased tyres and run around 15psi down as low as 10psi. Personally radials I'd only run around 15 depending how strong the sidewalls are. run 18 on sand and you should be pretty save. Hope this helps as a guide. Others may vary on my method

simple guide, no matter the tyre....
for LT tyres, start with the pressure you think will be right, go for a drive on highway... and after at least 30 minutes of highway speed, check tyre pressure, if it goes up more than 6pound ...it is to low. The pressure should be up to 4-6 lbs higher after a good 30 minutes highway speed. Do not exceed the max pressure for the tyre... if you need to, maybe wrong tyre for the load.
For passenger tyres, the magical number is 4 pounds. Works on cars and trucks, and 4x4s!
