LWB or SWB???
The rear axle in a LWB will handle 35's, the front is marginal (mine has coped very well with 33's so far). Unlocked it may be OK, and usually when lockers are fitted you upgrade the axle (shafts) at the same time.
They are generally sound. The gearboxes aren't the world's strongest, but late model versions (1978ish-on) are stronger.
What engine does it have though??? Lots of dodgy holden conversions.
Check for rust in the steel bits (including dash).
