Looking to make my bj73 more comfortable tourer for a trip to the cape. I understand that leaf springs arent exactly comfortable but lets see what we can do...im looking for suggestions for inside and outside...
so far i have:
replace driver and passenger seats (maybe recaro, saas - any other suggestions)
lift kit/softeer springs and new set of shocks?
Anything else?
Thanks

Did the softer springs make much difference?

Seats with built-in suspension?

I'll second the suspension seats, my middy is a LX and has them factory, make a difference on the bigger bumps as it doesnt shock your body as much

Greasable shackles will smooth out the ride a bit, as will small wheels with big tyres aired down, eg 36's on 15's, or maybe 33's for touring.
As said before, the stock suspension seats are great for keeping the fillings in your teeth.
A good sound system will prevent you from hearing all the squeaks and rattles, and also take your mind off the harsh ride.

-greasable shackles
-remove a leaf or 2
-remove a few leaves and add air suspension
-can go an 'add-a-coil' kit
-go a custom 5 link (uses 80 series trailing arms etc)
-increase tyre size
BUT
the best thing I can advise you to do is lower your tyre pressure when you go off road. I drop mine down to 19psi everytime i go off road makes a huge difference on the rough stuff and on traction....... and best of all its FREE!!!!
