Hey,

I tried seraching but couldnt find my exact problem.

Basically it slips out of gear on decel only in 1st and 3rd.

I was going to try putting a spacer washer under the detent spring, but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

The gearbox is pretty good apart from that, no other synchro issues etc.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe after the body lift the stick is hitting the edge of the hole and not letting the stick fully going into position, enough to work when under power but decell can jump out.
especially on both forward position gears

yeh that was my first thought, but it definately isnt hitting touching anything. I bent the shifter correctly when doing the bodylift.

It has got worse also leading me to think somehting has worn/lost tension.

It used to only do 3rd, then 1st started later.

cheers

Ive had a similar issue with a 75 series box and it turned out to be buggered gear stick bushes. Drain the oil into a clean tray and see if you can fish around inside the box with a flexy magnet to try to find anything.
