Hi

I am looking at buying a Troopy, did the 1HZ have any signifigantt changes through the 90's?

If so what were they and about what year?

just little things change, in 1998, the timing gear casing, timing belt, idler pulley, injectors have changed... there's maybe some other changes, but i guess nothing big.

I guess my main question was did the engine go multi valve like the HD-FT and did it get electronic injection at any time?

From what you are saying the engine has remained the same with only a few little mods. This will help me when looking at different year Troopies, they appear pretty much the same from 1990 - 1999.

nah, 12 valve and mechanical pump all the way.

I think the change in 98 also had some cyl head upgrades to improve low down torque as the 100 series was heavier than 80's. Some pollution gear like egr turned up somewhere along the line as well.
