oil spinner??? anyone???

Post by rad... »

Hi all, pulled my transfere apart the other day and there was an oil spinner on one of the output shafts but i cant remember which one, front or rear.  i thought it would probably be the rear coz its always spinning, but i'm not sure so if anyone could shed some light on the matter that would be great!!! the workshop manual says nothing about it. the transfere is out of a bj73 landcruiser, 1985 model.
Thanks in advance! rad...

I dont think its meant to be in there. It wont hurt anything, its just there to restrict oil to the seal and keep it around the bearings. Stick it in the rear!
