being new to 4x4's, i figured out tonight how bad driving in the rain is with mudterain's on.. i was sideways on every turn and sliding down hills..

ive got a set og road tires (might have 2 get 2 new ones)
now much will it improve the rain driving?

a vaig question i know.. but would people recomend swaping the tires over and keeping the mud terains off the tarmac and use em in the mud?

thanks
Mick

Just adust your driving style a little, unless your muddies are bald they shouldnt be that bad unless your on the power round the corner, ive never had a problem with my muddies in the rain

its not just the turns
when i brake going down hill. even if i easy the brakes on they start to slide.
there have still got alot of tread on em.

i put it in 4wd which did help alot

sounds like bald tyres, or over/under inflated tyres to me. shouldnt be this bad. worse i had was with kelly brand muddies, didnt slide like yours but had bad wander, like car felt like wanted to fall down to losest part of the road. this make sense :?

Bluey: i checked the pressure today.. the right side was both really low and the other side was still prety low also

so i pumped em both up.. hope it fixes it..

I don't think he was so much talking bout tread when Gonzo said old. it's the age of the tyres he was talking bout. if they sat on the shelf for ages befour you brought them. did you know tyres auctley have a use by date on them? true $hit. some tyre guru showed me how to interpret it. just don't ask me how coz I can't rember
