holden 5l v8 in a 60 series - a few issues - need advice

with the new v8 installed i noticed that the a/c compressor hangs down low enough that the diff would hit it about one cm before the whole lot bottomed out on the bumpstops

is this likely to happen? it i hit a washout or the like - i want to reinstall the a/c - and i really cant see any other place for the a/c to go

what i was thinking was that being as the 5l motor is quite a bit lighter than the old 2f - and the ome suspension i got was rated heavy - because of the bar/ dual batts and planned winch that i could just extend the bumpstops by a coupla cm - is this wise?

oh the joys of modding trucks ......

anyway - let me know what you guys think - cheers

Your on the right track. Just extend the bumpstops an inch.
Unless you want to re-mount the whole engine up a few cm.

X2 extend bumpstops a bit will be the easiest option but of course you lose a little travel.

can you make up a plate which allows you to shift the ac compressor up 2cm? spo rather than looking for a whole new place for the compressor you just shift it 1 - 2 cm.

this way you dont rasie your cog by lifting the whole donk.
