Mk 5 speed, How strong compared to a GQ??

Post by Rockmonsta »

Yeah, just tossing up weather to run a Mk 5 speed or a gq box, the rear diff is offset so the MK would be ideal but if it can't handle an LS1 I'll think about something else. The GQ box, would have to run the tail shaft at a sideways angle aswell as vertical angle.

So , How strong is the MK 5 speed?

Cheers..

Mk 5 speeds are a strong box. GQ is probably stronger. but also alot heavier and larger. MK box should handle the HP
