Im currently looking for an awning thats easy to make and even easier to assemble and i would like something similar to arb awning that bolts to the roof bars on most 4wds.
It also has to be light weight and able to assemble with just 1 person.

I didn't think the ARB one was much more than that, if any to be honest.

				Check out this

All you need is some sail track on your rack and poles etc.
Not as flash, but heaps cheaper.

For those in Melb, Snowy River Rug Company next to Mansfield BP does em for $230, not canvas though...
Is canvas the best option? once its wet on a trip would be heavy as hell

The Foxwing? Yah, i like the look of it, although it also is a bit tall when stowed, if that makes any difference.

I tried the tarp/tent poles/guy rope awning and it was crap in everything except perfect weather.
I ended up getting an ARB one, easy to put up and take down and actually works.
