Td42 - Cooling..

Post by macneil »

Hey guys got the new engine in my gq well second hand.. and so far so good but on the std guage it seems very cool.. onlt about 1/4 i have my aftermarket guage ready to go but the sender is wrong size so have to wait to get something made up.. i had an 88dC thermostat in there but it was still cold i had abrand newy which is only 76.5dC but its still the same on the guage..

i am going to get another thermostat (brand new 88dC) on thursday but otherwise how can i stop my over cooling troubles i want to add some more diesel too it anyway so maybe that will heat it up a little more?

Cheers,
Dion.

Mine runs the same.. sometimes get a little bit warmer when im given it a bootfull but not much.

The old motor was the same again.. that one had a 76.5 thermostat too. Guessing this one as the same.

mine has factory guage but replaced the thermostat with a 91 degree and sits right on half. much better i think, sounds and runs smoother. Before had a 76 genuine and it sat on 1/3.
