Larger master cylinder

Hi all,

What are the advantages of running a larger master?
Ive got a Landcruiser booster in my Hilux with the original master (15/16" bore). The Landcruisers run a 1" master I believe.

Will a larger master just give more pedal effort to brake? Or give better braking?

It will make the pedal harder and less travel. The point of larger master cylinder bores is brake upgrades where the caliper pistons are larger or theres more of them, therefore requiring more fluid to move them.
