Been tinkering with the zuk (1.6 16v)and was wondering if this is my IAC?
It's from the inlet plennum on the engine side. The top pipe is an air line coming from inlet tract, midway between throttle and air flow sensor. The bottom two are water connections which leads me to believe it's temp controlled. I tried blowing through the water lines but it seems to be very restrictive. Could there be a blockage here causing the valve(?) to not operate correctly thus resulting in the idle problem i'm having? The plug going to the electrical socket you can see is a blue one with two wires, light green with black stripe and blue with black stripe if this helps. There are more pics of the manifold here where you can see the valve in situ. (half way down the page, 3rd and 4th pics) http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ftopic175175-0-0-asc-.php

I gave it a hit with the compressor and which seemed to lessen the restriction in the water lines. Bolted it back in and seems to be sorted but will find out over the next few days. As for cleaning, I can safely squirt a bit of carby cleaner inside it then? And hit it again with the compressor? I take it there's nothing in there that is too delicate. They dont look like they easily come apart, if at all.
