1998 Subaru Forester Clutch Issues...

Hey all...

Got a subaru with a minor clutch problem. Just replaced the clutch and firstly I have to say the Hill Helper is a pain to fiddle with... What did Subaru think the problem with the old handbrake hillstart was?

Anywho, the clutch pedal doesnt always come all they way back up. Clutch engages and disengages perfectly but the pedal gets a little stuck. Is there meant to be a spring that pulls it back up...

Does anyone have one of these and if so would you be able to chuck up a pic of the clutch pedal so I can see what its meant to look like?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

most clutches dont have a spring to pull the pedel back, maybe try bleeding the clutch and adjusting the pedel to master rod.

Are these subarus the ones with the gh.ey as h0m0 thrust bearing that clips into the pressure plate???

Thrust bearing doesn't clip into pressure plate, no...

So some clutches do have a spring to pull it back up? I have bled it and it works fine but just sometimes gets a tad stuck. Going to adjust that pedal to master rod as well but there's a pin that attaches said rod to the pedal and it appears to have accommodation for a spring to pull it back up!
