transit conversion

hi, am trying to do abit of research and wondering if anyone has had experience with a ford transit 2.5 deisel conversion into a disco? seems to be fairly common in england with kits available. wondering if theres anyone here i can talk to. thanks in advance

IMHO there are better (and more common) engines available for the same money, for which you can also buy off-the-shelf adaptors to bolt them into landies.
e.g. the ISUZU 4JB1T (2.8L) used in rodeos and jackaroos.

I second the Isuzu 2.8 litre 4JB1T.
Common reliable engine here, perform very well with simple tweak of injection pump, boost pressure and intercooler.

i have a 4jg2 isuzu 3.1 turbo intercooled diesel complete 66,000 klms will sell if price is right have all the fruit cheers mick.
