Today I completly destroyed my locking hub, AVM brand on a stock mq patrol with 33's on it any one else done this before. Also my alternator brushes went last time i was wheeling in toolangi and i rebuilt the alternator and it has stoped working again, could the mud and water be stuffing the brushes

I will post some pics of the hub soon for anyone thats interested

Avoid mud!

Give it a good spray with Wd-40 and see if its any better. The brushes sometimes get stuck and you need to get em moving asgain, either give the alternator a firm tap on the top to get it moving again or wait till it drys out.

This is common, so I have been told.

with the alternator, it si piss easy to pull down, take the brush assembly out, and give them a good clean with contact cleaner and WD40, this will freet them up, and its a good idead before hittin alot of mud and water to coat your alternator in WD40 to help keep as much water out as possible.

When I competed in JUSTHI which is a GQ Patrol Coil Cab with the works we used to use AVM Hubs as CV eliminators as they would break way before the CV's and are only a 7 minute fix if you have all the gear ready. This could (and was) be fixed inside a DNF if you were lucky. However, after numerous issues with them, finding them breaking way tooooo easy genuine Nissan hubs were used and much more careful use of front locker employed with far better results. My suggestion is to get some standard hubs and the problem will go away. GQ hubs don't fit MQ.
