Newby to OL.
Been lookn into a full air bag replacement for a 80 series (no more coils).

Keen to hear from those who have done this or know alot about it. Pros cons, other posts, travel, shocks used to match, etc etc.

I understand the airbag man product and the bags they use, but I'm lookn for options especially to source the adaptor plates to suit the rear. Happy to import cause airbag man is big bucks.

The front bags from Airbag man are modified Dunlop bags for the old P38 and I'm not sure if many options exist. Heard bad things about the Boss bags so keen to stick with firestone products.

Any help?

Although different ball game, the minitruckin sites would be a good place to start as far as bags, valves etc are concerned, drawing your bag mounts/brackets etc and getting them laser cut your self will save money, did for a few cars a mate has done.

What is the reasoning for wanting to run bags, purpose of truck, may not need super dooper bags etc if just wanted for touring etc.

touring but with reasonable weekend off road capability. Seen a 2" lift in a firestone bag for the rear. I think it is a 1t14c-3 5422. The front dunlop bags will give you the 2" with extra air (so I've bee told).

The truck will be chassis extended into a dual cab and carry a slide-on, but I want to soften the ride when no load on - plus I have head height issues to deal with, so helper bags to coils won't lower my head height issues.

Seen some US sites to get rear bags and air controls etc at good prices, but can't find places that have a adaption kit to suit. Airbag man will sell adaption plates for many hundreds of $$ - ouch!
