Ive had me Suzi for about 6 weeks, and Im still learnin just wot Ive got. It has 235/75/15's om the rear and 225/70/15's om the front. My speedo is way out, like 80kph is really 100kph. It has a weber of which only one throat is operational. It has extractors into a 2".
The big mystery is the motor. It has 1298 moulded into the side of it, on the block, and has 16 valve on the tappet cover and the timing cover [sohc]. The Dizzy has been let into the firewall, and as previously mentioned its natuarally aspirated. The engine No on the motor starts with G13B, the compliance plate shows G13AB. There is a dept of transport modification plate on the firewall dated 1966. The car is a 1990 model.
It has rust in the windscreen frame only and has a 6 point roll cage and has a Kenwood sound system.
The paint is good the carpets are good and it goes good. I paid $4400 is that OK.
I came out of a Ford XA GT into this so the sluggish factor is WOW!
Anyway good board this, Ive learnt heaps.....Mudguard [shiney on top and s**t undeneath][/b]

# you need 235/75's for the front stat
# forget the speedo or fit 4 new standard size tyres
# sounds like you have a barina 16 valve head on a standard engine or jap import barina 1.3 16 valve carbie version?? / replaced or moded in 96, with a hack weber installed.
#you need load to open the webers second throat.

$4400 is probably average if it had efi on that engine and same size tyres which raises concern on the cars history, xfer case damage,

Check under the carpet and make sure they didn't take 2 half sierra's and wack them together, requiring different plates on the firewall... Sounds nearly as chopped as mine was when i bought it.

Do the rivets that hold the original compliance plates on look standard/original, or a little too new?

RTA might be able to help with history, not too sure...

Probably a dumb question, but is this relating to winding up your diff? Just curious as Ive seen other people do it before.

yea the transfer case drives both ends at the same speed ,so with different tyre sizes front and back something has to break & will break ,winding up the transfer case is just a term for smashing it.

unless you have mismatched diff gears to compensate. Ie lower diff gears for the bigger tyres
