Hi All,
I'm after some 29 or 30 inch muddies and wheels for my WT Sierra and have put up a post for them in the Wanted section.....
Just have a question though.
Will either of these sizes be fine with my standard diff ratios (3.7) ?
I'd prefer not to change them, but would like to have the largest possible tyres.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Daniel

29 or 30 Inch tyres ???
if you're doing sand driving then its ok - but anything highway speeds or requiring low speeds will be tough going.
best to look at tcase gears and go 31's... (most 31's measure more like 30).
anything above about a 28" is going to start wanting gearing addressed.

I run 235/75R15 Goodyear MTRs (about 28.6" from memory) on stock gearing and it is very happy on the highway. Sits generally on 110kph @ 3400rpm (foot flat or just about) but struggles in a headwind. I do run premium and have the ignition advanced a bit though - can only hit about 100kph on unleaded with stock timing.
