My first serious damage.. first trip out after i changed the diff oil too! i was punishing it really bad on a knarly track but thought the H233b's were stronger than this! any ideas on why this happened?
Spider/sun gears break because of to muck wheel spin. In an open diff all of the drive is being directed to the spinning wheel through the spider gears. that wheel grabs a rock and cruncho.
Remember some days your the pigeon and other days your the statue
I've got a complete H233b centre sittin in the shed if you want it....am bayside too.
Check under for sale, GU diff centres.
Cheaper than rebuilding yours i bet.
