Hi,
I am considering buying one of these and know nothing of Suzuki. We have a small family and would like a vehicle to get to Di so I would assume we will need to tow a trailer.
Can someone please advise me the suitability of these for my intended purpose?
Also I would like to know if these use a viscous coupling like all the other AWD on the market?
Thanks

The GV will tow a trailer fine on the beach as long as its not a 8x5 dually or anything
As for the viscous diff, the GV's are a true 4WD, not AWD, as they have a transfer case. So no viscous rubbish

they are a constant 4wd, whether they use a viscous centre diff or not i'm not sure.

Yes they have a viscous diff in the transfer much like a rear having a LSD but when the knob is turned to 4WD the diff does nothing, it is locked out and become a true 4WD in true Suzuki fasion.

We have a 2008 GV and its an awsome car. took it to the high country 4 days after buying it.
They are a constant 4wd with the option for 4H lock and 4L lock. The lock puts 50/50 torque to front and rear. They have ESP (Electronic Stability Program) when in 4wd and 4h lock but not in 4L lock. You can switch it off in 4H lock but it will automatically turn back on if speed goes above 35km/h. The ESP is basically traction control and anti skid that operates the abs to maintain vehicle control. Be a pain in the sand.
Ours is only the 2.4ltr 4cly but it has plenty of get up and go. Havn't lifted it yet as we want to wait for a bit as kids have trouble getting in and out as it is Youngest is only 3 and she is a short ass.
Highly recomend getting one. B4T
