350 chev in 45

can you get a 350 chev in a 45 series modplated and registered in qld if so what upgrades need to be done or changing ect.

yes u can,there one of the most common swaps,as to mod plating u will need to get engine mountings checked to get mod plate,though some conversion mounts go off original engine mounts,my hj45 has a 350 chev,it has a cradle on front of engine to mount up to the original h series diesel mounts and has a turbo 400 auto bolted behind it

sorry for the hi-jack.
does your 45 have power steering?
i am running the same engine mount. and cannot find a p/s pump bracket that fits.
i think they look if you have decent brakes too.

no powersteering yet,has disc front of newer 40,how would cradle mount block powersteering pump,i havnt decided how to add powersteering yet so curious

Ah, its just that i can only find low mount power steering pumps. And the engine mounts are using the bolts that they need. I had a custom high mount pump. But a few trips to the sand dunes have warped it beyond repair. It keeps spitting belts now.

hmmmm,ill have to do my homework there,i was thinking of going 60 series powersteering and nusing a marks 4wd adaptor to run toyota pump off chev,2f pump as hjs is lower where cradle is
