gq metal airbox behind headlight info needed

hi i have done my own turbo conversion on my gq shorty, now i require a new air box i have heard of a metal one that mounts behind the headlight can anyone tell me what model patrol this comes from and also where would be the best place to source one cheers.

GQ TD42 have them.
Easiest place to get them is a wrecker, but cost a few $$ normally.

its out of GQ 4.2, they are the Precleaner.
BUT....
Look at the outlet size, compared to the 3-4inch inlet... they are hideously restrictive. + they regularly crack down the bottom there where the outlet is.
Try the grenade one as mentioned.

i have a large second battery, i thaught the gu might not fit. but might be worth a look. any one have one lyin round?

I doubt it. Second hand they sell for $150-$250, new from Nissan they are about $350. What sort of dual battery tray are you running?

she's actually a safari with the standard battery tray to make it 24v its full size 700 cca battery

Have a look at the pics on
HERE and see if your setup will allow the ZD30 box in. If its in a similar position to the drivers' side one, you might be pushing poo uphill.
Might be time for a revised dual battery tray!
