cheers was thinking about the body lift. a mate runs 215's i think (29")? with no drama's bloody thing goes and where with the rear locked.
dont want to run a big tyre as we thrash our suzu's over and up stuff so we need as much power and speed as possible
gears u mean centres or trans reduction gears ?
is justcruzin a user on here?

i have 94 1.3ltr with 30.5 inch BFG muddies, with 2" body lift, 2"exhaust with redback extractors.
It's awesome. Goes most places. Snorkel would be handy too.
Want to put a locker in.

get a set of transfer gears, will compensate for larger tires in High, and get a sweet crawl in low.
have a look into maxxis trepadores, they are a great tire on/off road and very cheap compared to other brands in a similar style.

i am running the 235x75r15s on a 15x8-24 rim. the 235 is recommended on a 15x7 rim i think, but you can go 1" either way.
the tire measures to 28" on my 15x8s and it is fatter then a 30x9.5 on a 15x7.
i got mine from fourbys paid $190 each around a year ago, asking price was $210
i have a set of goodyear wrangler 235x75 ats on a 15x7 rim and they measure to 28.5".
the only difference between the 30s and 235s would be a little extra $$$ and a bit in size.
id rather 31s, i did not think they would fit with my set up when i bought mine.

What ever you do do not weld up the front diff, you will get lots to practice at changing cv. You will all so get arms the size of tree trunks.

I don't think he was planning on welding the front. I think its worth putting a auto locker rather than welding the rear. Makes it a whole lot more user friendly. Theres one for sale on auszookers going cheap and it new.

with a 2in BL you can fit 31's. you will need to space your bumpstops a little but they are cheap and easy to get as they seem to be a stock item for most brands of popular tyre
the 31's are best suited to a 15x8 F100 rim as they have a better offset that reduces them rubbing on thr springs on full lock. you will however need to put flare extensions on to cover them.
Best to get some t/case gears first and then see if you need a locked diff. Get 4.9's or 6.5 gears. the high is good for the larger tyres but the low range reduction is awsome. no more riding the clutch on big hills.

You'll be forever getting out to unlock your hubs so you can turn a corner.
I ended up putting a air-locker in my front. I'm so glad i didnt weld it, it seriously will hardly go anywhere but in a straight with the front locked in.

cool cool. hard decision on deciding on the 2... 28.6" or 30" if it was the old gq i would be like bigger is better
but the little suzuki's i dont know i just dont want it having troubles or loosing power...

The difference in power loss between the two would be barely noticeable. I did plenty of hiway k's on a set of 235's (50,000ks or so) barely half worn
The only mod you need to do to run either is trim away a bit of the front bumper support .. car used to be mega fun with just 235 MT's and full throttle assult... quite bullet proof to at the time .. easily with the durability of the rest of the driveline.

just my opinion here but if your on a budget forget the shit like lights/snorkel/uhf/drop shackles. Lights can always come later, mud sucks, get a little hand-held uhf, and just make some extended shackles. You'll end up pulling the drop shackles off anyway.
I'd be putting that money towards lockers/gearing.
As for the above Q:
The zuk in the middle had 2" springs, RUF, flipped rims, rear locker & 235's federals and went pretty much where ever he pointed it... It did have an EFI 1.6 though...
My mate runs 31" Sime Centipede (sime not simex) which he got for like $200ish a tyre from advance tyres. They seem to go pretty well. Well, awesome for $200 bones anyway. EDIT these are the sime centipedes

I'm pretty sure that's Cerberus. The hound of hell.
As others have said, lockers+gears+tyres = one sweet zook.
