SHACKLE REVERSAL

Just wondering if anyone knows how I'd go about doing a shackle reversal, did something nasty to the spring hanger (snapped off) after hitting extended shackle on large rock.
Is there a kit or is it simply unattach at either end then swap them around and weld up.

I don't really know. But they normally lower the front mount a fair way to keep the correct drivshaft angle and castor(I think). Calmini sell the kit but that is the only one I know of. I have been waiting for stuff from them for roughly 1 1/2 months and they still haven't sent it so if you are in a hurry don't buy through calmini. :x
I think rocky road sell it aswell but still has to come from USA. :?

offtopic has that redzuk in ya avatar got en exo? :D

btw i am also thinkin of doin a shackle reversal
but u will need to move your diff a fair way forward to stop the tire hitting on your firewall so i dont think it is just chop the mounts off an swap em around

if i do it it will be with a frame extension an hopefully i can move the front diff 5 or 6 inch forward

Yes it has got an EXO.
I can't see how the diff would need to be moved,I'd say I'd have to see it when it's being done to find out why.

Geeez You guy's are pushy :D
Your diff needs to be moved forward so that when the the spring is compressed it wont hit the firewall. (I think) :?

Yeah it seems like a stupid design. Just seeing that big mount coming down and out at the front is enough for me to stay clear of it ;)

I have a calmini sr kit its not that good seems to always lift the back tyres of the road if u take a corner to fast. It goes off road ok it will sit on 80-90kmh along the beach alright if its fairly flat. I think id go coils if i were to do it again.

Where's the PICS! :D
I would love coils in the back of my LJ but that would triple the value of the zook

One of the guys in the 4X4 club i'm in has just bought this kit. Did you find it any better than your previous setup? What was your previous setup?
Thanks
Jason

bazooked help me install it. It's heeps better than stock partly cause u can fit 31" tyres on. The only thing i realy found bad on it was how stiff the 3" lift springs are. Ive had them on for about 1 year now and there still hard as shit, so tell your mate to open up the kwik-clamps on the springs as soon as he gets them i wish i did.
PS it does wicked jumps.

(moose on besty,s comp !!)
I have a custom Shackle reversal on mine , 92 widetrack
running 33" swampers
I had to move the diff forward about 2" to allow for firewall clearance
as well as a slight massage of the lower front edge of the sill !!!

luv it & wouldnt go back to conventional spring set up !!! :D
