Outer Limits 4x4 Board

After I got so many help and good ideas out of this forum, I bet you also could give me some nice hints for the trip from Brisbane to Sydney. I'd like to spend about a week between the cities. Where are some good 4WD-tracks? Wouldn't mind to leave the coast. Just some interesting Australia-insider-information for your German menber

go through newcastle and go for a drive on the dunes at stockton, its pretty amazing if you've never done that sort of thing before.

Drive the whole way in 1st low...

Take a detour after you go through Sawtell and go through Bellingen, Dorrigo (walks and falls), Wollomombi (Wollomombi Falls is ok to see), Armidale, down to Uralla, turn off to Walcha and down through Thunderbolt's Way, Gloucester, to Raymond Terrace. Most of this is very scenic. Lots to see if you take notice of signs to local attractions. Then you are back on the Pacific Highway and can go to Stockton, Newcastle etc. If you had the time, you can zig zag most of the way down.

Photoshop. Nothing fancy, just a layer, draw with the mouse and save to jpeg. The picture is a screen shot from google maps.

Ok that's the same way I'm doing it. I had the hope you had a program which makes live easier

btt: The dunes at stockton are on the list. Do I need a second car? Or is it easy like Fraiser Island

When you say good tracks do you mean touring or hardcore.

x2 dorrigo national park is good and you have to stop at the wood fired bakery for a pie!

if you want a nice area to explore then between dorrigo and armidale is an area called kunderang, 4wding camping fishing very pretty area.

A little bit of both. Not to extrem, my 60s is more or less standard. But was good enough for the old telegraph a couple of weeks ago I just don't like to travel on the main highway. Want to see nice things and have some fun 4WD tracks...

Yes, you can buy them at the service stations near the 4wd access to the beach.

Not as far as I know. Take a shovel
