Thermostate every start of winter
New hoses and thermo every two yrs

Oil every 3-5000 ks
first change full flush 1 bottle oil stabilizer and oil ,next change half bottle
next change same then back to first change

I had a couple when engine was first built but was the idiot engine builder
Since found out its the way they machined the block

Kept blowing head gaskets
same place they kept saying i was over heating it
till i told them Id run it through the front of there shop if they said it again
told them they were cr@p
Told them to pull the engine and check the block
so they did found it had a low spot had to be diamond ground
no problem since

No thermostate just $6 filter and shell rimula oil (good enough for trucks good enough for pusslux) Narcool coolant. cops a hidin like a red headed step child.

by beinthemud
You like the rimula Im thinking of trying it
What filter
I use HPR 15-50
Were disturbuters for shell and I dont like selling things i havent tryed

fleetguard or ryco normally nothing flash. rimula far batter than castrol rx super never tried anything else but oil comes out like oil and not sludge and stays clean for a good 2000 kms before getting really dirty. Its probable over serviced but seems to be going well for what it is.

Not abig fan of ryco
We do FSA ,coopers ,ac delco,Ryco

The Rimula if going by the specs its Higher than most even the turbo spec ones and up to if not better than Particulate matter spec

like i said normally fleet guard (what we put on the trucks) i dont really care what sort of filter is on it. ive got another motor i can put in it if i have to but its not new technology and a dodgy filter will be the least of the problems the motor has.

Who do you get your fleet gaurd from

And what trucks
