Gday I have a holden 5ltr in a rangie tray and have wrecked 2 lt77's and have now put a t700 in with a 4 speed transfer. But im not very happy with how it is. Its slow and doesnt kick down when it should.
Just thinking if the 4 speed will bolt up to the old lt77 adaptor, and will it hold up better than the lt77.

LT95 is strongest manual box LR made, i would take the rangie to an auto place that is used to working on 4wd's as the T700 should be a good box, maybe you need a lower stall converter.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

I have a standard stall in it but im not happy. In low range its great but getting to the bush or work is crap. Is the Lt95 and Lt77 yhe same bolt pattern.
I have a 4 speed but it has been modified so that 3rd and 4th are different ratios to standard so it lowers the revs at 100.
Or would a standard ratio be better.

Was the LT77 an adaptor plate or bellhousing? if its plate, it'll all fit

Its plate but i cant aford power when it cost $250 to do 500km long weekend. This will do or ill sell it.

Bloody hell.... I hope there was a lot of low range work in there, or that is seriously thirsty....
