Super Spongy Brakes

Post by Andrew.hebble »

Hi there, been having issues over the last few months with spongy brakes on my 01 Series 2 GU. I'm running 35's so i expect the performance to be average however i don't think the ammount of sponge in the pedal to be normal. I've installed braided brake lines and i'm now thinking that i should replace the diff to caliper lines as well.

Is there any thing else i should check to try and improve this? I've driven a 4.8 patrol and the brakes were fantastic, rip ya skin of kinda stopping power. I know that the calipers are different and have different mounting points on the diff. Are other components the same though, like brake master??

Oh, i should also mention i have ABS, could this affect anything?

Thanks.
