Shimming up rear lsd

who has done this to there gq rear diff? how did it work for ya? would you reccommend?

please explain answer

Yes well worth it, don't go to wild on it, mine first go locked it up, it was great off road but no good around town. get on ebay, Hobsy has shims for sale at his 4wd online shop

did it to mine. its shimmed very tight (locked) great off road bit shitty on road. go for it. :)

Mine has been tightened. Works a treat, Often get asked if the rear of mine is locked :twisted:

Did mine ,works a little too good - has ruined my turning circle in the bush - pushes the front of the car straight ahead but otherwise ok

is shimming up the rear diff hard to do? just want to now if i should atempt it myself im prety good with cars but never really played around with diff centres.

have a look around online at an LSD if it makes sense to you its not hard, just fiddly and timeconsuming the first time round!


any diff place will be able to do it for you

when you guys say its locked does it release when you get a wheel off or is it fully locked, i have ordered 4 shims on a 260k diff thats been raped should i use all 4 or is 2 enough?
