G'day all i have a '05 ute with 3" sus lift and run 36" swampers on enuine rims. My question is, will they rub on the flare if i put the tyres on offset rims. looking at either 16"X8" with 22mm offset or 16"X10" with 44mm offset..Just trying to stop the flares from touching when on side slopes as much. never had the issue on my old GQ wagon as much as i do with the ute as the tyres sit well inside the guards.YES done the search and read heaps but still hasn't ans my question. Any advice appreciated

each of those rims will move them out 22 and 44 mm so yes still great chance they will rub, you will get less rub on the inside (i gather you get none now anyway) but could get more on the flare, if you don't want to cut up the flares look at extended bump stops or bodylift as a last resort, I run 16x10 -44 and have to run 150mm wide flare to cover the tyre (ugly but works).

cheers mate might look at the bump stops, but considering patrols don't flex much in the front anyway not sure if it will make it worse.don't need to do anything urgently just looking at my options
