hi all looking around for gauges for my 3.0lt
just wondering is a exhaust temp gauge the same as a exhaust gas temp gauge you are all chating about and installing
is there any difference

In short. Yes, the EGT gauge measures the tempreture of the exhaust gasses. It is also calles a Pyrometer.
You only need one that goes from 0-900c. The ones that go higher are for petrol engines.
