MY TEMP GAUGE JUST STARTED PLAYING UP WAS IDLING FOR ABOUT 40 MIN WAITING FOR A TOYOTA TO GET THROUGH AN OBSTACLE THEN MY TURN JUMPED IN AND THE TEMP GUAGE WAS FLICKERING OFF THE SCALE .NOW IVE REPLACED THE SENDER UNIT ,BUT STILL ,BUT NOT ALLWAYS GOES CRASEY AS HIGH LOW FLICKERING NOT SO BAD AT HIGHWAY SPEAD BEFORE I PULL DASH APART TO REPLACE GAUGE ANY IDEARS WOULD BE APRECIATED THANKS MIKE.

the wires that connect into the back of the loom plug at the temp sensor end have a tendency to harden from vibration and crack clean through, this happened to me and all it took was to strip back each broken bit and rejoin.
