GQ LRA tank gauge issues.

Hi

I have just fitted a 145 ltr LRA long range fuel tank into my GQ.
it came with the gauge and pickup.
i have noticed that the guage shows 1/4 empty when there is approx 70 ltrs left.
The first 3/4 on the gauge dissappears very quickly, then i am left stressing how much fuel is left.

Is this a usual problem with long range tanks or can i get it more accurate.

Thanks

Grant

mine in GQ when I had it, I could drive for days before it moved at all

Some from what I understand work "as stock gauges" with the last 95 ltrs, so you do know how much is to go (Well thats how mine worked)..

The gauge is fitted into a sunken area on the tank like the stock capacity height.

What's the sender look like? With some senders you need to kinda bend (sorry, "adjust") the arm on the float to get the right swing.

But, if the variable resistor that's built in is shit quality you aren't going to be able to save it. If you have no luck boat shops sell universal gauges and senders that you might be able to work with.
