it'd take a little work...

but it's all fun and games.

wonder if it'd be engineerable

ask DAZ on this site about it and check his posts in the members section. I plan on doing it to my 40 one day. You'll have to look at the types of linkage systems available and do alot of reading on it so that you get a setup that performs the way you want it to.

I spoke to a bloke at Jeep City the other bay and he said they would be releasing a bolt on coil set up for the FJ40 in about 6 weeks. cost will be around 6k. spoke to calbah about the same thing a few times but they don't like returing phone casll's/ e-mails but cost was around 6k also. and their is a MR Sheet Metal in Qld that will do a conversion as well 7.5k drive in drive out.

hope this helps

mate all that = a shite load of $$$$$$$$.

so you should think long and have before doing it!!

you might be better off buying 80 series diffs and trying to put them under your truck,

or just live with having leaves and spend that extra 6K on mods or a trip away, or a little shitter to drive around in so you dont have to put up with the stiff leaf suspension to get to work or anywhere on road.

My main reason for wanting to go coils is because I can't have a spoa in queensland. Going the 80 series diff's would be good as you get a whole lot more than just coils but looking at the work daz put into it I recon it's out of my league.

Buy an 80  If I could buy an 80 the missus would hijack it as the famley car and I would still be driveing the 40 :x

But yeah 6 grand is a lot of cash to throw at a 4wd then add 2 arb's and your looking at the wrong side of 9k but hey what price winning
