Hi there is a few cheap TOYOTA LANDCRUISER HZJ105R STANDARD around at the moment, they are ex pipeline 4x4's with low klms but no service history but are serviced by the company that leases them to bhp.
Priced around $20k for a 2004/5 with anything from 60klms to 100klms, do you think they would be worth buying?
Cheers

those cars are available out of qld and wa on a regular basis they are from dealers who do gaurenteed buy back deals on a fleet basis with large gov and corporate clients ..base model 105s with a little fruit usually bar, snorkel, towbar, cargo barrier, some are pipeline , some are mines, the qld ones are ex military...be careful choose your truck well take someone who really knows what hes looking at if you get a bad one with big ticket items to fix the repairs will make it not such a cheap truck

Whilst they can fly, (I work for the mines), they are essentially unkillable.

Overseas we don't sell them on, so run them to dead.
They never stop, ever! Not till the floor has been repaired 10+ times from rust and the chassis is gone. Most sites still have 80 series runnign around, and that's beside the ocean and a mine envionment. Pit cars last shorter, 4" of hot acid mud on the chassis every day does that.

1 cruiser = 3 hilux's for longevity.

I've had failures - plenty, but they keep going.
Had the lower control arms fall out of the hilux one morning.

If the price was right, I would buy one. It'll prob only last you till 400,000 not 500,000 due to cold starts, hard shifting and rough roads. Big deal.
