Replacement Toyota 4Y

Has anyone had any experiance with the new toyota 4Y motors that are licence built in china? A long motor without the alternator,inlet outlet manifolds sells for about $1500 with a 20.000 km warranty.
Are they a direct bolt in for old Toyota 3Y ?

fitted a couple of these
1 they are a direct bolt in except for sump and pickup
2 if you chabge sump and pickup and dont tell the supplier they
will void warranty when the cheap pistons explode
3 they arent all that bad now but 1500 will full reco with genuine pistons
any y series motor

Thanks v8suki, You have confirmed what I suspected. I will look into getting the motor overhauled.

if you pull the motor and refit it yourself you will save a bucketload
