Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi
Can a 2.4 diesel be put in a hilux that had a 2.8 diesel??Its a 1990 model extra cab..
Is it just a drop in job??If so does antone have a good 2.4??

physically yes, legally no

There is something the ADRs that say no to putting in an engine that is from an earlier model

It can be done the other way so i assume it would be a bolt in fit, i've got one you can have for $500. Not sure how good it is but drove the car about 5 kms before i dismantled it.
