np lights/wiring

Fellas,
Anyone know what the deal is with the fog light wiring in an np paj?
Old man has bought a gls and wants to use the factory fog lamp switch from the exceed for his spotties. Is the wiring already there? The relay cradle in the engine bay appears to have the wiring running to it and the fuse is present, but we can't seem to see the wiring under the dash or forward to the fog light position.

Alternatively, has anyone run 90/130w, or similar, with the standard loom in an np? Any probs, ie is there too much voltage drop with the higher wattage? I was thinking with such large reflectors we might get away with a bulb upgrade to satisfy his needs rather than mounting up the spotties (LF 170 stolen from his old nm).

Cheers
Daryl

On the Pajero Club forum a common complaint is "ridiculously thin" wiring for the headlights. I doubt you'd get away with higher wattage bulbs without upgrading the wires, and if the wires really are that thin you may find upgrading the wires alone may give a noticeable improvement in output.

The "+50" globes (from Narva and/or Philips?) also seem highly regarded - supposedly improved light output for the same power consumption. Something for nothing? :?
