If only that were true..... :D

I'm US based, and considering doing an X Link for my 80. Unfortunately I've found very little info on it, and almost no builds of it. (Of course searching is sketchy....hard to search for "x link" without getting a million other "link" results.)

I know people have done homebrew X link's here before.....little help here? :P

i have fitted one to a SWB for someone..it is very simple to fit provided you can weld (i dont mean chook shit welds either..they need to be good solid welds to attach the centre pivot point to the diff housing)..you can adjust your caster while you are at it if needed as that is governed by where you weld the pivot pin on the diff housing..

once you have it set up properly and the centre pin is attached in the right position then you can cut the front of the radius arm brackets off the diff and then bolt it all up..takes about 2 hours to pull apart, install and set up properly

i think from memory he said he paid $650 for the X link and $200 for the lock out pin for driving on road..

it flexed like a mofo afterwards and with the lock out pin fitted wasnt too bad to drive on road..that was in a GQ SWB with 3" suspension lift
