I think he is talking about the bloke selling the Chinese ones. I had a search but couldn't find a link. Bogged seems to be the best at finding old posts.

Cheap ARB Air Lockers are all second hand.

Cheap air operated difflocks can be found here

Do your research before you buy

An extra $100 for compressor according to the ad, most guys i know here are using arb lockers...don't think i know any that would look at the Chinese ones!
Mind you i know 2 guys using the Chinese winches without any probs but thats off topic.

In Estonia mostly peoples use Come-Up winches - and they are not bad at all - http://www.comeupwinch.com/ (Made in Taiwan - Superwinch clones)
Maxxis tires are too made in Taiwan
by me - there is not a big difference made in Taiwan or in China - same crap
And I think ARB is a crap too in comparison with Nissan rear OEM or with TJM Pro Locker - I dont mean a materials strenght and quality here - I mean by constuction (one grain of sand or just hanful mud can cut O rings and there You are)

I tried to keep the thread on topic by letting the guy know where to look for them. he wasn't asking for opinions about the lockers and I don't believe this thread should be turned into i hump my ARB gear thread.

well chinas quality has come a long way but if your thrashing through bog holes id still get arb..

i just find it hard to see why in america they can still get arb lockers over there cheaper even though they are made here..

Scan any thread and it's posts on any forum and you will see that the question basically gets answered and naturally opinions will always be a part of that. It helps make up the info that everybody gets something out of. I too have let the guy know where to look for them if he can't source them in Aust, it's his choice what he does with all the info and whether he imports from here or not.

I'd like to try one in the real world with 33's and a touring style of rig.

I'd also like to know if cv's will break before the locker.

Thats what i mean.

Once uphon a time magnum / ironman / tmax etc had no place at all. Now they are pretty common. Fine the quality isn't there of a Warn but the price tag isn't either.

Dont get me wrong I have ARB Lockers and a Warn but I can see there place.

There's a guy in strathpine qld that was selling them. He goes by "everything 4wd" on eBay. If I can find his number I'll post it. He has been running them in 3 different vehicles for over a year with no problems.

From memory it was $1500 for front, rear, compressor and all the witting and air hoses.

Hope this helps
